The Mission Behind the Music: Trust & Surrender
“At the core... I hear God asking me to completely surrender and trust in Him. He wants my hopes, joys, doubts, and fears, and everything in between. The more I get to know Him, the more I realize what a gentle, kind, and perfect Father I have in Heaven. And little by little, I’m learning to place all my trust in Him. And though it’s a simple message, it’s often difficult to live out. But when we do, His peace fills our hearts.”
With every song, performance, and talk, Dana seeks to reveal the merciful heart of God. Similar to the message of one of her favorite sisters in faith, St. Therese of Lisieux, Dana calls her audience to embrace a childlike trust in the Lord. Drawing from her own personal journey with God, Dana believes this virtue of trust is the key that allows Him to unlock the door into our hearts and lives, transforming our weakness into His strength.
With this message at the heart of both her ministry and personal life, it may not come as a surprise that one of Dana's favorite scripture passages is Proverbs 3:5-6...
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways be mindful of Him, and He will make your paths straight."
